Producer Sajid Nadiadwala will debut as director in Kick headlining Salman Khan, replacing Shirish Kunder.
Kick is a remake of the Telugu film of the same name and has been in news for the last two years.
Shirish Kunder lost the project to Sajid on the day his sci-fi film Joker headlining Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha released, reports Mid-Day. The mixed response to Joker could reportedly be the reason for Shirish's ouster from the project.
The news comes just two days after reports that Salman is unhappy with the script of Kick. The reports prompting Sajid to tell the media that the project was going ahead with Shirish as the director.
"Firstly, I want to make it clear that Kick is indeed happening. Salman is the lead actor and Shirish the director. A few dialogues are being changed and a little shuffling here and there," Sajid told Mumbai Mirror.
